CODDINGTON WI – MONTHLY MEETING held at CODDINGTON VILLAGE HALL

Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every Month at Coddington Village Hall, from 2pm to 4pm. We are always happy to welcome any guests who would wish to attend, for which a small entry fee will apply.

19th February 2026:-
Despite the weather conditions, the meeting was well attended.
Our speaker this month was Adrian Gray who gave us a very interesting talk on historical facts about Newark and Sherwood. He had done a lot of research and discussed 10 areas of the district with little-known tales of interest.
Members met up for coffee and cakes at the YMCA on the 24th February 2026
Next month’s meeting we will be celebrating our 92nd Birthday.

13th January 2026:-
Many members attended despite the January blues and winter weather.
A member of the Hockerton ECO Housing Project, Simon Tilley, gave us a talk about the Project. He spoke at length about the effects of climate change and the things we can do to slow the changes. The Project built a group of houses in Hockerton. Partly underground, they are so well insulated that they do not have any extra heating, using the heat in summer stored in the concrete buildings to keep them warm in winter.
Next month’s meeting will be a talk on Historical facts about Newark and Sherwood by Adrian Gray
